What’s the difference between liking a page and liking a post?

What’s the difference between liking a page and liking a post?

Understanding the difference between these two things and knowing that page likes are valuable and post likes are relatively inconsequential, is important when it comes to leveraging Facebook for your real estate lead generation.

All too often the “gurus” out there are teaching people to focus on the engagement on your posts… also known as getting likes on your posts… when this isn’t what brings in business.

It’s a backwards approach to a straight forward lead generation methodology.

This creates confusion with some real estate agents when it comes to knowing the difference in the “likes” and that one is valuable and the other is… meh.

I talk about it more here:

Always remember, as a real estate agent, your Facebook business page is a conduit into your database. It is not a destination and you don’t want to spend your time trying to figure out how to get random people to like your posts. You DO want to spend your time building the right, highly target page like audience that you can leverage and drive right into your database.
