This January, leverage gifts to bring in more business. Here’s how.

Do you know how to leverage gifts to bring in more business?

I’ll bet you’ve been taught to give out an “item of value” that includes a branded notepad, or branded mousepad, or branded sports team schedule, or branded whatever.

Guess what. There is a difference between giving a gift and handing out a promotional item.

    Christina,

Loved these ideas! I’m concerned in NY if we HAVE to have our info on gifts, so I’m going to check that out then get right on this. I love giving and have held back because I’m not sure of our state law regarding putting our info on stuff. I know if it’s advertising like calendars, we have to have all the info. So thanks for this one! I would have not thought of it myself. I really appreciate you!

You don’t have to have your info on gifts – it’s not possible on so many gifts. It’s just the dollar amount, which is why the dollar store was a perfect place to hunt down options 🙂

Thank you for the ideas. I think of some gifts I’ve received from others, nice gifts, and they put their brand name and all contact info including web page. Reall, I’d rather receive it without all of that on it. So yes, gifts without all that crap is nice for a change and guess what? They will remember who gave it to them and will probably hold onto it a lot longer.
    Thanks again.

Exactly. Not saying there isn’t a time and place for promotional items, but not as a “gift” – have fun!!

It’s a fabulous way to give to others so they feel good and quite honestly, YOU feel good doing it 🙂

Awesome! You’ll get a much bigger effect if you hand deliver (when possible) your gifts :). Have fun!
