What do people want me to post on my Facebook page that will get them to respond to me?

What do people what me to post on my page that will get them to respond to me?

Judith says her struggle is “Trying to figure out what exactly my followers want to see”

So many real estate agents run into the same road block – don’t know what to put out on their Facebook business page and then they resort to hiring a vendor to basically just “make noise” on their page… cause they know they’ve got to do something… they’re just not sure what to do…

Here’s the Facebook Page Setup Checklist I mention in the video (click here).

Hi, I’m Christina Ethridge with Leads and Leverage and I help real estate agents sell more houses using Facebook.

Today’s question comes from Judith from our Facebook for real estate agents group.

Judith says “my biggest struggle is trying to figure out what exactly my followers want to see.”

Well Judith, my suspicion is that you have put something out, like maybe you’ve put a post out, or two, or four maybe over time, and you didn’t get any traction on it, and so, you can’t figure out what they want because you don’t have any feedback on those two or four or 10 posts.

Or, you’ve just shoved your listings, your open houses were third party content, like you’ve hired a vendor to put stuff out, and you’re not really getting any engagement, any attraction on that.

Well, here’s the thing, you have to put stuff out for weeks and months.

You have to put out four to six posts per day. Per day, that are not noise makers.

They need to be relevant and interesting and engaging, not just a space filler. The space fillers kill you.

And you have to do that for months. Months.

And then you need to look back at what people are responding to.

You can’t figure this out over a post or two. You have to do it for months, because it takes months to actually get out into the Facebook world. Out into the feeds, out into the space where people actually are.

And then you’ve got to make sure that the people you want to reach are seeing what you have and actually like what you have.

So, one of the best ways to do that, I actually have a content posting calendar for you in the link of the description.

And Judith, if you use that, I give you topic idea and things that you should actually be posting on your page.

And you need to be posting four to six times.

You need to use a scheduler, whether it’s Facebook’s or another thing, you need to schedule it so you never stop.

Because, if you stop, it’s like paddling upstream.

If you stop paddling, you end up farther downstream then where you started. It’s exactly the same thing with posting.

If you stop posting, even for a day or two, which usually it’s a week or two for most of us, we stop.

You have to dig out of the negative that you put your page in, by not being out in the algorithm and engaging with people.

So, use this posting calendar. Definitely look at it, definitely source it, and start putting the stuff up there that are known for people liking and then tweak it based on the responses on your page.

After weeks and months of posting four to six times a day.

Judith, you’ve got this, you can do it.

How do I get over my nerves to go live on my Facebook page

How do I get over my nerves to go live on my page?

Sonia asks: “My struggle with Facebook is doing live-streams on my business page, I get so nervous despite being fabulous on camera.”

Well Sonia… think of it like this…

Here’s the Facebook Page Setup Checklist I mention in the video (click here).

Hi, I’m Christina with Leads and Leverage, and I help real estate agents sell more houses using Facebook.

Today’s question comes from Sonia, from our Facebook for Real Estate Agents groups.

Sonia says, “My struggle is actually doing live streams on my business page. I get so nervous, despite being fabulous on camera.”

And, Sonia IS fabulous on camera. And, she’s comfortable going live inside her private group. She’s comfortable going live on her personal profile. But on her business page… that’s where she’s uncomfortable.

So, here’s the thing.

Number one, if you go live on your business page, then you need to make sure that you have maybe a little outline of a script of what to say.

Remember, that you’re talking to an individual person. Yeah, there might be lot’s of people looking, but don’t think of it like that. There might be lots of people watching it, but if you’re looking at the camera, make sure that you consider this an individual person.

Secondly, know that live is very, very forgiving. Live stream is amazing, because it’s authentic, it’s real, it’s not scripted, and that’s why people like live stream, because you can’t edit live stream.

So, just know that people want to see the real you. So, you can be the real you. You can be frazzled, you can be whatever you want.

But, I would go in, number one, that is one individual person, the camera lens, is one individual person that you’re talking to, and visualize yourself talking to that person, and answering a question, helping them with the process, et cetera.

Don’t worry about your live viewers, especially in the beginning. They’re gonna come with you, and keep coming back.

And then, once you get more comfortable, and people start coming and engaging, then you can engage with them.

But, the goal here, is really to just see that it’s one individual that you’re talking to, and to just do it.

You have to practice, you have to, not just practice, like, you have to do it. In order to get better at it, you have to keep doing it. It’s literally quantity, it’s quantity.

So, that’s what you wanna focus on, Sonia.

Alright you guys, if you have any other questions, let me know.

How do I stay top of mind on Facebook without pushing listings?

The best way to stay “top of mind” is to actually BE there…

Hi, I’m Christina Ethridge with Leads and Leverage and I help real estate agents sell more houses using Facebook.

Today’s question comes from Veronica, from our Facebook for Real Estate Agents group.

Veronica says, “one pressing challenge is how to engage with my sphere of influence on Facebook. What is an effective way to keep top of mind without pushing listings?”

Well Veronica, you’re going to want to make sure that you’re using your personal profile for your sphere of influence. For people that you already know, that you already have a relationship with, you need to use your personal profile.

And how do you stay top of mind without pushing listings? Because you do not want to push listings on your personal profile.

This is how you do it…you engage.

You share pieces of you, every day, funny things, funny thoughts and don’t just find stuff that’s already done.

Like, take pictures of things you’re doing, ask questions, ask for recommendations, all on your personal profile.

And then, dedicate some time every single day to going through your newsfeed and connecting with other people.

Meaning, the people that have posted… engage with them. Comment on their child’s baptism, or comment on their son’s graduation, or comment on their parent’s wedding anniversary. Or comment on… maybe they have somebody that is in the hospital.

Better yet, take a step forward and help more. Take that relationship deeper face to face.

If somebody is in the hospital, find out a way to just go and deliver a plant, or a flower, or a balloon. Maybe not to the person in the hospital if you don’t know them, but to the person who, like maybe it’s the sibling whose parent is in the hospital, maybe it’s a parent whose kid is in the hospital, whatever it is, find a way to engage and to help and be a part of somebody’s life.

Use Facebook to connect with people and share pieces of you, so people can get to know you better, so they can resonate more with you, they can engage with you more and you also engage.

That is how you stay top of mind. You engage with people both on your profile and on their profile.

So you need to spend some time. And it’s okay to schedule it. You need to schedule it. Just like you write down everybody’s birthdays on your calendar so you don’t forget. You need to schedule this, so you don’t forget to do this every single day.

Veronica, you’ve got this.
