I’m Christina Ethridge and I help entrepreneurs double their email open rates.

Over in the Email for Entrepreneurs Facebook group, Genevieve asked “do you have any advice on subject line ideas?”

Thanks so much for asking this Genevieve…

See, so many people want a magic email subject line formula or think that they’ve got to be an incredible copywriter to get that subject line just perfect.

But the truth is, email was created as a 1:1 conversation and that means… you’ve got to tailor your subject lines accordingly.

Use things like…. I, you, me, us, we – in other words, talk person to person (you to them).

And, think in terms of creating curiosity

If you are a store, instead of highlighting a sale or product in the subject line, highlight a personal thought, opinion, belief, like, dislike that you have about a specific product.

If you are an online business with mainly digital products, share your personal thought, opinion, belief, like, dislike, achievement that you have about what you’re teaching and helping with.

Remember, it’s a conversation and the subject lines that get opened and continue to get open focus on creating a sense of a “you and I” conversation.

Try it and see Genevieve! You’ve got this!
